The Grand Canyon State Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club is hosting the 46th annual SDC International Meet at the beautiful Four Star Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa. Located just west ot the state capitol, Phoenix, Glendale is a popular tourist destination that has hosted many major national events. The Renaissance is a new facility with numerous amenities and the entire meet will be on one location. Shopping, dining and entertainment venues surround the hotel within walking distance and easy access to the I-10 freeway and the Loop 101.
The entire area and tours showcase the unique history and landscape of the Desert Southwest. The temperate climate makes driving a Studebaker even more enjoyable. Our tours include drives to points of interest in the city and nearby historic Wickenburg, both by Studebaker. Private coach tours will be taken to the Desert Botanical Gardens and Hall of Flame Fire Museum. We will also be traveling by coach to the mining town of Jerome, perched on the side of Mingus Mountain and home to the Gold King Mine. The week's activities will suit participants of all ages and will be a great family get away.
